Fair Quote LLC ("Fair Quote," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the FairQuote mobile application and related services (the "Service").

By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Quote Images and Documents (Core Service Data)

How We Use Your Quote Images: When you upload a contractor quote, auto insurance quote, or estimate to FairQuote, we collect and process these images to provide our core analysis service. Here's exactly what happens:

• Collection: Quote images and documents you upload are transmitted to our secure servers for analysis
• Processing: We use AI technology (including OpenAI's GPT models) to analyze the text, pricing, and terms in your quotes
• Storage: Quote images are stored securely in encrypted cloud storage for the duration of your account
• Retention: You can delete individual quote analyses at any time. When you delete your account, all quote images are permanently deleted within 90 days
• No Sharing: Your quote images are NEVER shared with third parties, sold, or used for advertising purposes
• AI Processing: Quote images are sent to our AI service providers (like OpenAI) solely for text extraction and analysis. These providers process the data according to their privacy policies and do not retain your images

Important: This data collection is essential for FairQuote to function. Without uploading your quotes, we cannot provide analysis services. This is separate from our optional analytics tracking described below.

1.2 First-Party Analytics (Optional)

Separate from Quote Images: Fair Quote LLC uses first-party analytics to understand how users interact with app features. This is completely separate from quote image collection and is optional - you can decline analytics while still using the full quote analysis service.

What We Track (If You Consent):

• Which screens and features you use within FairQuote
• Subscription plan views and selections
• App performance metrics and crash reports
• Button clicks and navigation patterns

What We DON'T Track:

• We do NOT track you across other companies' apps or websites
• We do NOT access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA)
• We do NOT share analytics data with advertising networks
• We do NOT use analytics data for targeted advertising
• We do NOT include your quote images or their content in analytics data

Because we don't access device advertising identifiers or track you across other apps, we do not require App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission under Apple's privacy guidelines.

1.3 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account
• Quote Images: Photos of contractor quotes and estimates you upload for analysis
• Project Information: Details about your home improvement projects
• Payment Information: Billing information processed through our payment provider (Stripe)
• Communications: Messages you send to our support team

1.4 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: Features used, pages viewed, time spent in the app
• Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address (with your permission)
• Analytics Data: App performance, crash reports, user interactions

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Core Service (Required)

Fair Quote LLC uses your quote images and account information to:

• Analyze contractor quotes and auto insurance quotes using AI technology
• Provide fairness scores, cost breakdowns, and recommendations
• Store your quote history for future reference
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Send you important updates about the Service
• Respond to your support requests and questions
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

2.2 Analytics and Improvement (Optional)

If you consent to analytics, we use usage data to:

• Understand which features are most valuable to users
• Identify and fix bugs and performance issues
• Improve the user interface and experience
• Develop new features based on user behavior
• Optimize subscription offerings

Note: Analytics data does NOT include the content of your quote images or any personally identifiable information from your quotes.

Fair Quote LLC does not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

Service Providers

• Payment Processing: Stripe for payment processing
• Cloud Storage: Secure cloud providers for data storage
• AI Services: OpenAI and similar services for quote analysis
• Analytics: Analytics providers to understand app usage

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fair Quote LLC, our users, or others.

Business Transfers

If Fair Quote LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Fair Quote LLC implements industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Fair Quote LLC retains your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal compliance.

7. Photo Library Access

Fair Quote LLC requests photo library access so you can:

• Select existing photos of contractor quotes and estimates for analysis
• Upload saved documents and images for evaluation

We only access photos you explicitly select within the app. We do not scan or access other photos in your library. You can revoke photo library access at any time in your device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. Fair Quote LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share, and the right to request deletion of your information.

Fair Quote LLC does not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Fair Quote LLC ensures appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Fair Quote LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
